Donnie, has done a fantastic job of playing Ip, considering he wasn’t a Martial Artist before he began making the film. In some of the DvD bonuses he says that he spent a lot of his time to research Ip Man so that he could play the past as perfectly as possible. I must say, he did the job well enough!
The film follows the first part of Ip Mans exciting life, before he moved to Hong Kong.
The amount of absolute kick-@$$ action is superb! The story is consuming and the realistic enviroments are fabulous. Trying to comprehend how hard this film was to make is near-to impossible. Simply put, it’s stunning.
